Notedle ("we", "us") is a free, browser-based daily music puzzle. This page explains what information the site handles and how. We've tried to keep it short and plain.
Information we collect
Notedle does not ask for or collect any personal information. There are no accounts, sign-ups, or logins.
To make the game work, we save your puzzle progress, statistics (streaks,
win rate, best times) and preferences in your browser's
localStorage. This data stays on your own device, is never
sent to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser
data or visiting /?reset.
Cookies and advertising
The game itself does not set tracking cookies. We may display ads to keep Notedle free. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Notedle and/or other sites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Learn more about how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- For visitors in the EEA/UK, a consent banner is shown and personalised ads are only used with your consent.
Third-party links
Notedle may link to external services such as Ko-fi (for optional voluntary support). If you follow such a link, that service's own privacy policy applies to any information you share with it. We don't control those sites.
Children's privacy
Notedle is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
